1. How old were you when you first wrote your first story?
Not a book. I always knew I wanted to be a writer in some capacity. As a teen, I’d write little stupid movie titles and a brief description of the plot and would ‘cast’ actors.
2. How many books have you written?
None, not stand-alone. Co-Written a story that will be in an anthology. Story is titled She is the Night.
3. Anything you won’t write about?
I’m more poetry, which is a bit more personal. It’s so easy to sit there and write a story of slicing and dicing people and putting babies in ovens and shit, killing animals. To me that is not substance. I need to connect with the characters and I feel all need to, as well. Hell if I want to read that, I can put on the news.
4. Tell me about you. Age (if you don’t mind answering), married, kids, do you have another job etc…
Hell, I don’t mind saying my age, everyone knows I’m old. 46. Two kids, son 18, daughter 25. I worked in Corporate 10 plus years, climbed up that ladder. Lot of blood, sweat, tears. Thing is I saw how some employees were treated. So now happily doing my thing without toxic people.
5. What’s your favorite book you have written?
We’ve established I’ve not written a book. I’m very proud of my poetry. Will I actually write a full book, maybe. Perhaps a poetry book.
6. Who or what inspired you to write?
Actually my English Honors teacher, Mr. Johns. I’ll never forget him. I’d fall asleep in his class and he’d get so pissed lol. He pushed me and pushed me. I was like metal chick taking all these to expand my knowledge. Anatomy, Psychology, Drama. Ironically, I fall asleep in his class. He slammed a book down on my desk and said wake up. I was to read in front of the class. I was so nervous. Girl in the front row with her short skirt and cowboy boots just rolled her eyes. My glare you could see a mile away. Thank you Mr. Johns for breaking me out of a shell and knowing my potential.
7. What do you like to do for fun?
Pretty sure I can beat all you in pool.
8. Any traditions you do when you finish a book?
Everything I’ve written, poetry wise, I just pray it will be published. No tradition, but sit and wait.
9. Where do you write? Quiet or music?
Music. Music has always been an integral part of my life.
10. Anything you would change about your writing?
I’m a young writer, I’m learning. Right now nothing I’d probably immediately change. I learn new things every day that could better it.
11. What is your dream? Famous writer?
Hell no. If my ass became famous I’d have stalkers and shit. Oh wait, I already do. Seriously, I doubt anyone is out to achieve that fame intiatally.. It comes in the least likely instances and good for them.
12. Where do you live?
Oh that weird ass place called Floriduh
A fat cat named Lily. My little blind dog Gigi. I love them to the moon and back. Sadly, lost our Chip in February.
14. What’s your favorite thing about writing?
It’s a total release for me. As a kid, You’d be hell bent getting me out of a library. I can take a pen and notepad, see a bird and it will inspire something.
15. What is coming next for you?
No clue. I’ll just take me where the wind blows.
16. Where do you get your ideas?
My ideas… Let’s see… I was severely abused as a kid, taken from the state. I thought becoming a serial killer would be quite not for me. Spent my growing up years knowing I needed to get it out. Writing is the best way to do that.
